The folks living at the end of my block have me puzzled. I seems that every 6 to 9 months different people move in. And each time the vehicles are different. And speaking of vehicles, I'm stunned at how much they must have spent on them. The first group had 2 impressive motorcycles, 2 top-of-the-line pickup trucks, and a gorgeous Audi sports car. The Audi alone cost at least $100,000.

The second group had similarly expensive trucks. and a Cadillac Escalade.

Last month featured more high-end pickup trucks and a beautiful Chevy Corvette.

And now the Corvette is gone and in it's place is this beauty...

I've blurred the badge because it would have revealed the make, but can you guess the make and maybe the model?

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Hey there, wow, that is some litany of high-end cars.
Maybe this is a RB&B and people are renting the house for a week or two.
My brother-in-law and his family came to town over a year ago and rented a place for $4,000/week! I was blown away by the price of this split-level house in our middle-class area. You, on the other hand, live in a nicer neighborhood in California. To afford an RB&B where you live, you could afford cars like the ones you mentioned.

Tonight is Camera Club night.  I had to use all the photos from my archives since I have not been taking any photos this last month.  Not a single one. I am hoping that now that spring has arrived, I might be getting out there more and taking  some nature shots.

Last evening I watched a free webinar on INFRARED photography. Wow, was I impressed.  This person, Mark Comon used his converted mirrorless camera to get some awesome black and white shots.  He converted his Nikon Z8 to infrared.  He has won several photo competitions with his Infrared images.

He has a lot of videos online.  https://nikonrumors.com/2023/07/13/nikon...mera.aspx/

I hope everyone has been doing well.
Here is one photo that I submitted for tonight's meeting.

This is a Buick Hood Ornament.

Hi Lorell. You have been missed.

My neighborhood is not quite as affluent as you might think. Houses built in the mid-to-late 1950s with average square footage of maybe 1400. But it is a nice neighborhood with a mix of old retired folks like me and Pauline and younger couples raising their kids.

I like your shot of the Buick hood ornament - excellent job of fading the subject into the background.

Regarding the house with the expensive cars, this morning the car shown above was gone and the Corvette was back.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Yes. I have missed Lorell. Great B&W of the hood ornament.

Dave, is it this one? Wink

MFI,

Yes, that looks like the same model. Can't be 100% positive because I didn't get a look at the front, but I think you're right.

A Mercedes AMG GT. Price for a new 2025 starts around $190,000 US, and fully loaded runs to nearly $225,000.

BTW, how's the hand doing after the surgery? Back close to normal, I hope.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Thanks for asking, Dave.
Still in a removable splint but coming along well so far. The wounds have basically vanished.

$223,00 USD which gets up to $357,323.62 Australian Dollars
