[Dave]

Happy Hump Day.

I hadn't taken any photos in several days, so on this morning's second walk I vowed to change that. Pickings were pretty slim, but here's one 0f a flower (and I'm drawing a blank on its name) blossoming beside a neighbor's RV...

[Man From Ironbark]

I love it.
So sharp and distinct. The background both highlights the flower and steps back from it.
Flower looks like what I tend to call Aggie's pants. Agapanthus.

[Dave]

Thank you, MFI.

Yes, Agapanthus sounds right.

[Quint]

Dave, it's like something served up in a fancy restaurant. Great image.

[Dreamin]

Wow, Dave, that's an interesting flower, and I really like your take on it. Very nice! And the lighter background works with this.

[Dave]

Thanks Quint and Natalie.

[Rich]

That is one amazing flower! Nature is awesome!! Good capture!

[Dave]

Thank you, Rich.

The orange structure at the base of the blossom is the remnant of the bud case. Soon it will drop off, and the blue & white blossom structures will spread out and align themselves in a single plane (maybe 5 or 5 inches across) in a good example of radial symmetry.

[Rich]

Amazing!
