Saturday, April 23, 2022 - Don - 04-23-2022
Good afternoon all. Looks like everyone is having a busy Saturday. I know mine started out busy... DS called last night from work, car wouldn't start. Drove over and apparently the alternator has gone in his car. Outrageous what it is going to cost to get it replaced. Had the car towed this morning to the garage and might get it back by mid week next week. Hope your weekend is going better.
So last Thursday was my birthday and yesterday I bought myself a birthday present. I've been wanting a Telecaster style guitar for ever and yesterday I decided to bite the bullet. I've been enjoying it since then.

Don, Several friends have Fender Telecasters. I am not sure of the name on yours. 2 of those friends played for $ so they have multiple guitars. 2 have Dobros.

The company is called G&L and was started by Leo Fender (of the original Fender brand) and another prior employee of Fender. Leo called the instruments he designed at G&L "The best instruments I have ever designed".
Be that as it may, I like it. I also have multiple guitars, a couple of mandolins, a banjo, 2 ukuleles, several harmonicas and some other assorted instruments. Another hobby to rival my photography hobby. I've never owned a Dobro though. I hope to again start being able to play with some of my friends in the not too distant future.

My daughter bought somebody's greenhouse.....and we had to disassemble it. What a nightmare....the guy who built it.....made it into a fortress. Thousands of Torx screws....they were deeply sunk into the wood, stripped easily. It was difficult....We ended up using a saws all to just cut off a lot of parts, when we rebuild it, will need some new lumber, and it will not go together in the same manner....I warn everyone.....never buy something you have to take apart to put back together. Buy new....or buy something less complicated....GRrrrrrr We had 5 people, we are tired, we are sore, and we are going to have a Bloody Mary, take a shower and go to bed. Maybe Sunday will be better...

Natalie, that sounded like quite an ordeal with the greenhouse. I still have to re-skin mine sometimes this season. I have the covering and did it once before myself. It
will be nice to rid it from leaks that are a nuisance. Now it's time to plant and prep the outside raised beds.
