Grant, I think it is Easter weekend all over the world in the Christian communities. We are having a small gathering here on Sunday. Going to pick up a HONEY GLAZED ham in the next hour. I know it's expensive, but nothing compares to it.

Yep...that is the most vibrant yellow I have seen in awhile!
I just took this shot of one of my gernaium
(stink blossom!)
blooms out on the back deck..I move them out and bring them in as weather dictates!

Good morning all.
I mentioned to someone yesterday that so far this year the rhododendron and azalea bushes have held back on their blossoms more than usual.
i see many buds ready to open and May is the peak month here. This one is from last season's bush by the house.

Grant, as Lorell noted, it's the Easter weekend in the US too. However. I wasn't consciously trying to celebrate the holiday with my photo; I just spotted the scene during a walk.
Thank you Lorell. And the same right back to you for your photo. It's a pleasingly simple macro with that beautiful gold color and the soft greens; perfect focus point, too.
Thanks damar. I've always found red geraniums hard to photograph, but yours is a good one. I like the patterns revealed by the edges of the petals and by their shadows.
Quint, yours is another example of nearly the same lovely gold. Perfect amount of sharpness that shows the details well without looking "crunchy".
