Wednesday 16 March 2022 - Don - 03-16-2022 Good morning folks and welcome to Wednesday. I'll leave you with this image of a Great Blue Heron. We saw many at the Circle Bar B Reserve last week. RE: Wednesday 16 March 2022 - Luv2shoot - 03-16-2022 That is a beautiful shot, Don. Wow, you couldn't ask for a better pose and setting than that. Yesterday was a wonderful day with my local Photo friends as we toured The Henry Ford Museum. Wow, what a place. So, in the next several day you MAY be viewing several photos from my visit. As mentioned in previous threads, I created a scavenger hunt. I wasn't sure if people wanted to do it. But three people asked for the list. I guess they did enjoy it. I, on the other hand, was so thrilled by the things that I was seeing, that I kept forgetting to look for objects that would satisfy the topics. Anyway, luckily I took over 600 pictures and found some that I can submit. One of the categories was FUNNY. Here are two that will work for that. I think both the TV sets AND the TV program will bring back memories. The second is a photo of a photo that was taken through glass. I had to do a lot in post to get rid of all the glare that I captured. These are two of my favorite comedians and who definitely brought tons of laughter to me when I watched their movies. RE: Wednesday 16 March 2022 - Dave - 03-16-2022 Beautiful capture, Don. The GBH is an impressive creature and your photo did it justice. Hi Lorell. I think I'd enjoy spending a few hours in that museum. I've never been a big Lucy fan, but Laurel & Hardy are always good to revisit. The TVs on your photo make a good segue to this TV Trivia quiz: The Glen Glenn company did the did the sound recording for two iconic TV shows in the 1960s. Can you name the shows? RE: Wednesday 16 March 2022 - Quint - 03-16-2022 Good morning and good to see that classic pose from a real stalker, Don. Hi, Laurel. Quite a nostalgic group of shots. Laurel and Hardy were my favorites. Hi, Dave. Here's a shot I took yesterday of an old classic parked for a while a couple of miles from our home. I've passed it many times without noticing it until the other day. I returned with my camera to take this shot and say hi. RE: Wednesday 16 March 2022 - Adamphotoman - 03-16-2022 Don, Great pose. When living on Vancouver Island we had a Rookery close by. The voice of the Blue Heron is almost prehistoric. Lorell, Both Historic images. I am inclined to agree with Dave. L & H is a cool image. But then so is the Lucy on 2 TV's. Nice they have different colours. Dave, morning to all.... No more frost so nothing but puddles. The pups are going to get so dirty. Don, Great pose. Steve, Your Tractor is rusty and could be an old rusty auto. RE: Wednesday 16 March 2022 - Man From Ironbark - 03-16-2022 So the tractor is hidden by brambles when the warmenr weather arrives? The blackberries are doing what they seem to do best. I'll have to check it again this summer. RE: Wednesday 16 March 2022 - Dreamin - 03-16-2022 Don, I love the majestic Blue Herons! You have a great shot there, shadows in the back and he stands there so perfectly!! Lorell, I Love Lucy! No, I really do! But I think I've seen everything she has ever done. Love the old TVs..... The one on the right reminds me of the one at my grandparents house back in the day....way back.....Laurel & Hardy were funny, too.... but not my favorite......Love the image, tho..... Quint, Somebody should be restoring that....I've seen them in worse conditions restored!! But it does make a nice photograph! |
