Hardly any posts happening so here's one.

This view inside a Ginger Meggs rose after the light frost thawed.

Nice shot, MFIB. Looks like fire & water coexisting.

Beautiful image, MFI.

Hi Quint.

RE: Weekender April 11/12 - Dave - 04-13-2026

Sorry that I've not participated much this month.

I've been struggling with our tax returns. For the first time on many years we owe a chunk of money; my wife received a nice inheritance last year and forgot to have state & federal taxes withheld. That's a bit troubling, but other than that the inheritance was a life-changing blessing.

Anyway, here's a photo taken Feb 01, 2025 in Huntington Beach's large (350 acres) Central Park.

I have no clue what flowers these are, but I sure love the vivid blue.

Super focus Peter. Rain drops Give great interest.
Excellent composition and DOF Dave. A beauty of a plant! The blue really pops!

Thank you Rich.

Your flower, dave is Borage Borago officinalis. Linnaeus named thiings officinalis due to the fact that they were recognised medicinal herbs.
Borage flowers can sparkle up your summer fruit juices. The leaves taste like cucumber. Though they are a bit furry on the tongue.

Myself was digging through old photos and lookiing at rainbow spiderwebs.

Thanks for the ID, MFI.

And that's quite a fine and interesting photo.

Thanks Dave. There was a period where I went looking for such things. Have a Flickr album called 'webs water and wind' or something to that effect.
