Monday March 30 2026 - Dave - 03-30-2026 A shot taken yesterday of tufts of a common ornamental grass. I can't remember the name of it, though. The green blades are from unwanted and intrusive plants, but here they do a nice job of framing the tufts and to a lesser degree lead the eye to them. Luck was with me in that we're looking down at the tufts and they're all about the same distance from the camera so they're in pretty good focus. RE: Monday March 30 2026 - Rich - 03-30-2026 That's a pretty cool photo Dave. Well exposed. World Record Attempt. There are 120,000 thousand pounds of potatoes here and 80,000 plus will be given to local food pantry's. A local store a few blocks from me. RE: Monday March 30 2026 - Dave - 03-30-2026 Thank you, Rich. WOW!!! That's a lot of spuds. And put to good use too. Well done by your city. RE: Monday March 30 2026 - Man From Ironbark - 03-30-2026 Are they all the potato variety known as Idaho? Like your grass seed heads shot Dave. A very interesting POV. They almost look like fireworks. RE: Monday March 30 2026 - Dave - 03-31-2026 Thanks, MFI. Yes, they do kinda look like fireworks. I think this type of ornamental grass is called Fountain Grass. RE: Monday March 30 2026 - Rich - 03-31-2026 Thanks Dave! Peter, yes, they are all Idaho potato's, all 250,000 of them. RE: Monday March 30 2026 - Man From Ironbark - 03-31-2026 Fountain grass |
