They get around in gatherings of around 20 birds and they are almost as big(bigger with wings outstretched) as the cat. The cat would prefer to ambush birds rather than be ambushed. Not that the size of the animal will deter a hungry feral cat. I've seen them kill goannas and they are often several sizes bigger than a cat. They love my walnuts.
