Thursday, January 16, 2025 - Luv2shoot - 01-16-2025 Good day, all. I worked late in the evening in my "camera room" attempting to get one more shot for my camera club meeting tonight. I was not pleased with the outcome that I was looking for. I had everything set up for using the light painting technique and although I did get a few good shots, it would have taken too long to consolidate them into ONE as I did for the photo below. The image you see will be used for the category VB, Very Best. This is a light painting that took several hours to combine 12 separate photos that took only about 5 minutes to shoot. Yes, it takes longer to set up everything than to photograph the parts you want to highlight. I have had this huge leaf in my back room for at least 4 months, I am actually happy that I can finally throw it away not that I have preserved its memory. Have a good Thursday all, LORELL RE: Thursday, January 16, 2025 - Man From Ironbark - 01-16-2025 Photographic gold is now destined to go back to its original purpose which was to return to the earth. ![]() Worth all the effort by the result. Well done. RE: Thursday, January 16, 2025 - Dave - 01-16-2025 WHEW! Lorell: A lot of work, but a simply remarkable result. I agree with what MFI said. And I admire how poetically he said it. RE: Thursday, January 16, 2025 - Man From Ironbark - 01-16-2025 aww, I don't often get creds for poetic intent. ![]() Thanks. Here's some gold that was simply there to pick up.
