No, it does not aid in any fiber crafts! But I can see why it would be a guess! Try again!!

Any idea of the actual size?

RE: WhatIzIt ??? - Dreamin - 05-15-2022

It has diameter of 12 inches.

Is it a part of an apppliance? ie: a dehydrator or maybe an egg incubator?

And there it is!!   It's part of the incubator my daughter got to hatch some eggs...Out of 6 eggs, 3 hatched!!  Congratulations!  And I thought this would be hard, but isn't it a pretty piece? It is the piece that turns the eggs every once in a while......

Smile I could envisage that the spaces could fit eggs. This is why I said it. I could easily determine that it was meant to rotate. No. I'd never seen anything like it before.

Here is something that could be very easily discerned or perhaps not?

Well, it appears to be something made from sand. Do I have at least that correct?

RE: WhatIzIt ??? - Dreamin - 05-15-2022

That was my thought, too, Lorell....sandstone or claystone, maybe found when you dig your opals?

RE: WhatIzIt ??? - Luv2shoot - 05-16-2022

Maybe it is a tool that you found buried in you garden

RE: WhatIzIt ??? - Man From Ironbark - 05-16-2022

There is sand on it or in it.

It isn't sandstone or claystone. It as far as I am aware, not found on or in opal fields.

It isn't a tool though yes the item was located in my garden and photographed where I left it.
